I have a few decent Canon EF-S lenses and have never even owned a third party lens.

These capable cameras costing less than $2000 should be solid and well-built, have both speed and focus for capturing fast action and offer professional-level image quality. anaroselee by The Sigma lens was released in February 2010, the Canon EF 2X III was released in August 2010, so there may well be some compatibility issue there. I have owned a number of Sigma lenses and they always performed similarly to the similar Canon lenses. If you are talking about EF mount lens that you see in store brands new. LACARVUS The color and contrast at f1.4 are perfect. It has not come off of my camera in months.

This lens is head and shoulders above them all. by Your recently viewed items and featured recommendations I think I'll just keep my new Ebay purchase as a backup lens for occasional use.

These entry-level cameras should be easy to use, offer good image quality and easily connect with a smartphone for sharing. I would recommend to anyone looking for something with a bit more flexibility than the Canon (and probably Nikon) lens, and with similar performance. I sold my first Sigma 30mm 1.4 and regretted it because it was perfect for video and for photography as well. Veteran Member

The lens itself was as promised . Now its time for list of official lenses coming out from Sigma. Yenny C. Hopefully there will be no compatibility issues.
Update on durability: I dropped then lens while shooting a wedding. I have a 70D and it takes great pics! I have been wanting a macro lens to take pictures of flowers and insects. I bought this lens because I do a lot of event photography, especially dance (doing volunteer work for a ballet company) and while I've done pretty well with my trusty Canon 24-70mm F2.8 lens, I've felt a bit (sometimes more than a bit) limited when I photograph fast moving dance sequences in the low-light environments stage and dance very often are.

You'll just have to try it.I don't know whether the camera has any focus sensors that will work with f/6.3. (Herndon, Virginia) It does work in live view but not like STM lenses do.
